Microsurgical & Endovascular Techniques
The proposed Pre-Conference Hands-On Workshop is designed to deliver intensive, practical training in microscopic high-flow anastomosis, with a strong emphasis on real-time surgical skill development. Training will be conducted using live, anaesthetized laboratory animals (rabbits), enabling participants to gain authentic operative experience in a controlled and supervised environment. This workshop aims to significantly enhance the microsurgical capabilities of practicing surgeons while also providing Residents and Postgraduate students with valuable exposure to advanced microsurgical techniques.
The programme encompasses a comprehensive curriculum, including microvascular suturing, high-flow anastomosis on animal tissues, live-animal operative training, and endovascular simulation modules. Participants will benefit from structured hands-on sessions conducted under the close guidance of expert faculty. In addition, the workshop will feature "How I Do It" video demonstrations, showcasing refined techniques and best practices from experienced microsurgeons.
Through immersive practical learning, expert mentorship, and collaborative interaction, the workshop is designed to strengthen technical proficiency, improve operative confidence, and foster a deeper understanding of high-precision microsurgical procedures.
